Mel Robbins is credited with this process and I can tell you it works. In her book. The 5 Second Rule she talks about how just doing it before your brain convinces you otherwise




Is helpful in getting things done and accomplishing those scary tasks that we constantly avoid. Robbins talks about how the brain is designed to stop you from pursuing scary and yes lofty dreams.

We simply must defy our brains and fool it into bending to our will. Robbins implies, the window is only about 5 seconds long we must make a decision to do or don't in that 5 second timeframe.
