Events, issues or circumstances, are usually the catalysts for the stages of grief. I know, I went through them all, on more than one occasion. Each situation gave me remembrance and fuel to better navigate the next similar circumstance. Use these stages to forward you to your better life. The stages are brutal but each is necessary in gaining both knowledge and introspection (all be it the hard way). Do not deny the stages of grief, instead except them and move through each stage. Recognize that you are in a stage. Do not worry about the identification of the stage. The entire gambit can be used to move you to you better life.
(STAGE 1) DENIAL- IS A NORMAL REACTION TO REALIZE OVERWHELMING EMOTIONS. IT IS A DEFENSE MECHANISM THAT BUFFERS THE IMMEDIATE SHOCK.
(STAGE 2) ANGER- THE PAIN OF LOSS TAKES HOLD AS PEOPLE SEARCH FOR BLAME, FEEL INSENSE GUILT AND LASH OUT.
(STAGE 3) BARGANING- "THE WHAT IF STAGE" IT IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE IT PROVIDES A TEMPORARY ESCAPE FROM THE PAIN.....
(STAGE 4) DEPRESSION-THE FORM IS NOT CLININICAL, IT IS A REACTION TO A CHALLENGING CIRCUSTANCE AND IT IS NATURAL.
(STAGE 5) ACCEPTANCE- ACCEPTING THE REALITY OF A LOSS AND THE FACT THAT NOTHING CAN CHANGE THAT REALITY.
These stages are vital to healing. Extremely difficult to deal with but a must. Working through these stages are necessary to achieving your goals; There is no need to identify each stage, just realize that you are going through them.
