Ever had one of those days where you just put all your effort into something and it actually comes into fruition. Those days are the best when they happen. Relish the wins and realize that your journey is not in vain. This miracle that you see before you is an accomplishment. Give yourself some credit for that. All the days of labor, toil and sweat actually paid off today.
This accomplishment is great but it is just one of many. This accomplishment is an incentive to keep going. Remember all those dark days brought you here. Here is a ray of light that has dimly broken through your darkness simply sent to remind you to hold on. Think about the times when you thought that just getting here was not doable.
The saying, "There is light at the end of the tunnel" is true.
Realize that this accomplishment, although mighty in stature, is only one Goliath you must
conquer on your quest to your better life.
In fact, a doctor wrote a January 20, 2012 article in Psychology Today titled, The Key to Self-Esteem? Your Own Accomplishments. about the effect of accomlishment. He related the sense of accomplishment to the emotions link to self-esteem, arguing that accomplishment fuel self esteem and that self-esteem must be earned through accomplishing tasks. The author, Dr. Richard E. Cytowic goes further and says, "Accomplishments and know-how can't be handed out or downloaded into someone's brain like they are for the characters in The Matrix. They must be earned through individual effort. It is the endeavor that generates a sense of pride and inward esteem." Be happy over your accomplishments Use them as fuel to you next one, but never settle. Realize that one goal accomplished, leads to another being sought.
P.S. I ACCOMPLISHED A MAJOR GOAL. TOOK ME UNTIL 8:00 AM BUT I GOT IT DONE. IT FEELS GREAT.
